Company description

Host2play is a hosting provider offering virtual private servers, game server hosting, Discord bot hosting, and web design. The company operates servers in Stockholm (Sweden), Berlin (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), London (UK), Ashburn, VA (USA), and Mumbai (India). Its Swedish infrastructure is housed in the Pionen data center, a converted Cold War-era facility located under a mountain in Stockholm’s Sodermalm district. The site holds the Triple Green eco-label, runs on renewable electricity, and stores data in Sweden in accordance with local regulations.

The VPS lineup is delivered under the dedicated VPS label using KVM virtualization, with full IPv4 addresses assigned to each instance. A separate VPS NAT product uses shared IPv4 together with IPv6, providing access through forwarded ports. For lighter workloads, VPS LXC servers use container-based virtualization and are hosted in Stockholm, including a reverse proxy layer. The main VPS products support Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora. VPS services are managed through a proprietary control panel that supports power management, OS reinstallation, and sub-user access. The company also offers web design services, providing custom website development alongside its hosting products.

For game hosting, host2play offers dedicated Minecraft server plans supporting Java, Bedrock, and Forge. Additional game server options cover titles such as Valheim and Palworld, along with support for simulation games including Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. A TeamSpeak 3 hosting tier is also available. Discord bot hosting is managed through the same panel and supports multiple programming languages. Technical support is available around the clock for paid services.

The server hardware is assembled in-house across several product lines. The HydroPulse GEN1 platform uses water cooling and is designed for high single-core performance, particularly for game workloads. Additional lines include fixed configurations and build-to-order systems. DDoS protection is described as multi-layered, covering both network-level and application-level threats, with continuous monitoring of system performance.
