SiliCloud is a cloud computing provider that has been operating since 2018, and acts as an IP address management agent of JPNIC. While also offering public and private cloud services, IP transit, cybersecurity, and software customization.
Their main service is CVM (Cloud Virtual Machine), an IaaS service built on OpenStack with KVM virtualization. Instances are available with both shared and dedicated CPU configurations and support a range of Linux and Unix operating system families, as well as custom OS installation through Netboot. Each instance comes with IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and is placed within an isolated VPC environment with Security Group controls. Network traffic is filtered through firewall systems, and the platform includes IPS protection. Periodic snapshots are supported for data backup, and instances can be managed through the SiliCloud Panel, console access, or an API.
SiliCloud operates from data center facilities in Los Angeles (USA) and Tokyo (Japan), including third-party sites such as Colt and CoreSite, which are Tier III data centers. The company uses hardware from manufacturers such as Dell, SuperMicro, and Hewlett-Packard, and its storage architecture relies on distributed redundancy.
Besides CVM, SiliCloud offers domain name registration and a private cloud deployment service based on OpenStack. The private cloud option supports distributed storage, GPU and vGPU acceleration, and hardware offload capabilities, with a minimum cluster requirement of three servers.
Payment is accepted through PayPal, Stripe, Alipay, and bank wire transfer in multiple currencies. Technical support is available through a ticket system and email, with email support operating around the clock. The SLA guarantees 99.97% uptime for network and host node availability.
