SmartHost LLC is a privately owned hosting company that has been operating since 1998. They provide virtual private servers, cloud hosting, dedicated servers, colocation, and reseller hosting, along with domain registration and SSL certificates. SmartHost operates its own server and network infrastructure.
The VPS lineup is built on KVM virtualization and managed through the SolusVM control panel, with plans available for both Linux and Windows operating systems. Resources such as CPU, memory, disk space, and bandwidth are customizable. In addition to standard VPS, SmartHost offers a Resource Pool product for resellers, allowing allocation of shared resources across multiple virtual servers. A separate cloud hosting service, managed through SolusVM Cloud, enables the creation of multiple instances within a shared resource environment.
Dedicated servers are built with server-grade components and support Linux and Windows operating systems, with IPMI for remote management. Colocation services range from single rack units to larger deployments, with basic remote support included. Reseller hosting packages are offered for US and UK locations and use cPanel/WHM with Softaculous.
SmartHost maintains a distributed network of data center locations. Within the United States, facilities span multiple regions, while international locations include the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Singapore. These facilities are carrier-neutral and feature redundant power, physical security controls, and on-site staffing.
Support is available around the clock, with optional managed service tiers offering additional system administration. All services come with a 99.9% uptime SLA.
